Hand to Big Toe Pose

This weeks video is a "15 Minute Movement" practice of Hand to Big Toe Pose.

Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana (Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose)

- no's. 1 and 2.

This is a great sequence to help in understanding the alignment we work with in Iyengar Yoga for the Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose (Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana) - no. 1 and 2.

This is a balancing pose, however in this sequence we work with the support of the wall and a chair, alternatively you could use a bench or table. And if you feel stiff in the legs and / or the hips then lower the height of the lifted leg - perhaps to the chair seat rather than the backrest of the chair.
