This is a dynamic class that can be practiced without any props (unless you want to bring them in). There are a lot of transitions in this class with an overall theme of forward bends that lead us to Kurmasana (tortoise pose) and Tittibhasana (firefly pose).

This is a backbends class with a focus on lengthening the hip flexors and quadriceps (front thighs) along with opening the shoulders. We practice lunging poses and do some variations of Virabhadrasana I (warrior pose1) before moving onto a couple of chair supported backbends - Dwi Pada Viparita Dandasana and Kapotasana (two legged inverted staff pose and pigeon pose). We then move onto Urdhva Dhanurasana (upward bow pose).

An active forward bends class involving a progression to Krounchasana (Heron Pose) along with Urdhva Mukha Paschimottanasana I & II (upward facing intense stretch pose). We start the class with Adho Mukha Svanasana and Salamba Sirsasana (downward facing dog pose and headstand) and we finish the class with Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulder stand).

This slow paced class involves a number of supported poses including Supta Baddha Konasana (reclined bound angle pose), Supta Padangusthasana (reclined big toe pose), Upavistha Konasana (open angle pose), Paschimottanasana (intense stretch to the back body pose) and Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (bridge pose).

A progression to Eka Pada Viparita Dandasana and we take a different approach than in Intermediate # 286. In this class we focus on the hip flexion and hamstring length that is required in order to lift the one leg up and straighten it in the final pose. We make the connection between Supta Padanagusthasana (Reclined Big Toe Pose) and stretching the leg up in supported variations of the pose before moving onto the full pose (unsupported).

A short practice of inversions. This class is perfect for when you have a limited amount of time for your practice. We begin with down face dog, handstand, forearm balance, headstand and finish with shoulder stand and plough pose.

We explore the relationship and similarity between various poses such as Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose 1 - Upward Expanded One Legged Pose - Reclined Three Stride Pose (Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana I - Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana - Supta Trivikramasana). We also draw a connection between Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose 2 - Half Moon Pose - Reclined Big Toe Pose 2 (Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana II - Ardha Chandrasana - Supta Padangusthasana II). We also practice inversions :)

A progression to Eka Pada Viparita Dandasana (the one legged inverted staff pose) using the support of the chair. We begin the class with poses that enhance length in the front thighs and hip flexors before moving onto supported Kapotasana (again, using the chair) in order to open the shoulders and chest and mobilise the spine to better position ourselves in Viparita Dandasana.

This is a nourishing class involving reclined standing poses. It's a great class to do if feeling weak or fatigued or if experiencing bloating or heaviness in the lower abdomen. We practice a number of the standing poses such as Trikonasana, Virabhadrasana II, Parsvakonasana and Ardha Chandrasana all whilst lying down and anchoring our feet to the wall. We also practice Upavistha Konasana (open angle pose) and Baddha Konasana (bound angle pose) with the use of the wall.

A class for mobilising the shoulders and upper back thereby opening the chest. There are a lot of fabulous movement practices in here - I'm sure you will enjoy it 😀

A standing pose class. We make use of the wall for a few poses such as Tadasana, Urdhva Hastasana, Utkatasana, Ardha Chandrasana and Prasarita Padottanasana. It's wonderful session for strengthening the legs, opening the hip / pelvic abdominal area along with lengthening the hamstrings and adductors.

A focus on abdominals. After practicing Downward facing dog pose we move onto Supta Padangusthasana I & II (reclined big toe pose 1 & 2) and Urdhva Prasarita Padasana (upward extended feet pose). In these poses we use a brick under the sacrum to help inform wether the pelvis and spine are beign implemented rather than just the articulation of the thigh bones. We then move onto a number of variations of Paripurna Navasana (full boat pose) and finish the class with shoulder stand (Sarvangasana).

An active forward bends class. After practicing Salamba Sirsasana (headstand) we move onto Parsvottanasana (side intense stretch pose), Prasaritta Padottanasana (spread foot intense stretch pose) and Uttanasana (intense stretch pose). We then actively practice some seated forward bends making use of a belt and a blanket. To finsih the class we practice Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (supported bridge pose) using bricks (and a bolster if needed) before moving onto Savasana.

A PRANAYAMA class. We practice "Digital" pranayama (we use our digits, aka fingers, to manipulate the breath). After practicing Viparita Karani we proceed to sitting backwards through the chair in order to progress with Anuloma, Pratiloma and Nadi Sodhana. These practices all involve some variation of closing one nostril whilst inhaling or exhaling through the other. Here we define "pranayama mudra" the hand position that enables an efficient way of manipulating the breath.

This is a shorter format class (46 mins) using only 1 prop (a blanket) with a focus on 'baby' backbends. We start with variations of the Surya Namaskar (salute to the sun) and move onto Salabhasana (locust), Bujangasana (cobra), Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (upward facing dog), Dhanurasana (bow) and Ustrasana (camel). We explore rolling from Dhanurasana through Parsva Dhanurasana (side bow) and over into Chatush Padasana (four footed pose).

This class involves mobilising and actioning the shoulder blades. We practice two variations of headstand that are great for bringing awareness to the thoracic spine. These variations are great for those less confident in going all the way up into the pose as we use bricks, a chair and the wall for support. We practice mobilising the shoulders for shoulder stand and implement awareness of "stamping" the upper arm bones down in order to create the rebound lift in the chest and spine.

This is a standing pose class and involves using the trestle, however you can potentially use your kitchen bench, desk, or wall and chair instead. We use this kind of support to provide us with stability, alignment and the capcity to stay longer in the poses. When we stay longer we refine the technique, create more lift, more opening and therefore we experience a deeper therapeutic effect. Enjoy :)

An invigorating backbends class. We start with some different variations of the Surya Namaskar (salute to the sun) involving lunges, warrior 1 & 3 poses and upward facing dog pose. We move onto Cobra, Bow and Frog poses (Bhujangasana, Dhanurasana and Bekkhasana) before exploring a couple of variations of Urdhva Dhanurasana (upward bow pose). We complete the class with Ardha Halasana (supported plough pose) and Savasana (corpse pose).
